Canada being a Cultural diversity country, we members of Edo Friends of British Columbia Association appreciate the opportunity again to organize an African Musical/Cultural Festival in the City of Burnaby. Here in Canada, we are encouraged to embrace each other’s culture, heritage, and background, and by hosting an African Musical/Cultural Festival to celebrate international cultures here in Burnaby, BC Govt. and the city are directly recognized in promoting this attitude of oneness among all ethnic groups and communities.
From our experiences at Queensborough Community Complex in New Westminster seven years ago and Swangard Stadium in the last four years, we know that African Musical/Cultural Festival enable Canadians to enjoy and learn about different cultures from different parts of the Africa. Every performer in this event will select a highlight region that their music performance will focus on. Different community groups and organizations are invited to participate by hosting booths of any culture of their choosing.
This year, we invite you to Come, Celebrate and Experience Africa in British Columbia in our 2017 Africa Musical & Cultural Festival. This year festival features diverse, vibrant and energizing line-up of International and Local Artists to give you the best day of your 2017 summer.
Enjoy the cultural performances, and African Dance Groups. Join us in our Story Telling, information and discussion sessions Tents, African Drumming Sessions. Bring your appetites for a taste of the Africa continent foods like you have never experienced.
